I've taken to calling it exhaustion. I'm exhausted all the time. It never changes. But depending on any number of things I may be more or less tired as well.
And of course you're right. The ME is the ME. It doesn't respond to anything except perhaps briefly and then back to usual.
I find it hard to imagine being severe and having the energy to attempt so many types of therapy.
I appreciate all the caveats but it always seems to my reading that these are more about anticipating criticism than any real belief that the hypothesis might not be true.

For me the problem really is that she is not wrong -- at least in general terms. Many of us were very physically active before illness and enjoyed it.

I hope the full text really is a useful read. I have no problem with mindfulness as a personal tool to be more present in one's own experience.
