    UK NICE 2021 ME/CFS Guideline, published 29th October - post-publication discussion

Could be automatically generated by the content management system based on recent relevant information- presumably using ME/CFS will have pulled through Nina’s blogs.

    UK NICE 2021 ME/CFS Guideline, published 29th October - post-publication discussion

I note RCP statement has at the bottom links to other relevant content which is two blogs by Nina Muirhead. It is ironic their statement could result in medics going to those blogs where they will get decent info about ME

    UK NICE 2021 ME/CFS Guideline, published 29th October - post-publication discussion

Agreed. The hardened GET proponents are not going to change much if anything due to these guidelines. However they are a minority and there will be a large group of people who will work within whatever approach their employers set for them. Ensuring implementation by getting the manuals and...

    UK NICE 2021 ME/CFS Guideline, published 29th October - post-publication discussion

Ugh. presumably they have a list of post publication tasks. I would have thought taking a superceded guideline down was a fairly routine task but maybe there’s more to it with repointing links and so on so they will do it in normal working hours.

    UK NICE 2021 ME/CFS Guideline, published 29th October - post-publication discussion

Chalder and White just looking like sour grapes, churning out same tripe. Miller subverting the new guidance already. They still blinkered about their so called evidence, need to be sat down to watch Graham’s videos for their education!!

Dehydration-like feeling next day after exertion?

Do others with dry eyes use drops or the gel type for nighttime If not worth trying I find it is pretty good at relieving the dryness.

Dehydration-like feeling next day after exertion?

Dry eyes is a very common symptom associated with getting older lso I reckon it’s difficult for any of us 50 plus to definitely attribute it to ME. other than that I definitely get much more thirsty during PEM, not surprisingly needing to go to the loo a lot more too, sometimes quite soon after...

Publication of the NICE ME/CFS guideline after the pause (comment starting from the announcement of 20 October 2021)

Also another practical reason why things don’t just go ahead straight after a meeting. bearing in mind they cover a lot of guidelines and regularly have drafts and new guidelines going live they will have to schedule publications to manage their comms workload.

Evidence based care for people with chronic fatigue syndrome and myalgic encephalomyelitis, 2021, Sharpe, Chalder & White

No they’re not because in their eminent opinions the emperor really is wearing a marvellous suit of new clothes, and if they keep insisting us plebs might believe them

Evidence based care for people with chronic fatigue syndrome and myalgic encephalomyelitis, 2021, Sharpe, Chalder & White

Struck me that a change to the title would improve the accuracy of this piece Care for people with CFS/ME - based on evidence which is low/very low quality

Evidence based care for people with chronic fatigue syndrome and myalgic encephalomyelitis, 2021, Sharpe, Chalder & White

Clinical assessment = filling in their BS questionnaires and having an appointment with a physio or ot where you basically go over the questionnaire again
