My emphasis :
I wasn't aware of any ketogenic diet which restricted proteins to any major extent.
There are quite a few people I read on Twitter who have moved from
1) Low Carb, High Fat (maximum 100g carbs per day, but preferably less) to
2) Keto ( maximum 20g carbs per day) to
3)...
I have found that some sites recognise when private browsing is being used and they then cover part of the page with a sign saying "Get a subscription" which doesn't have a close option and they disable scrolling. This wasn't always true, and I used to use incognito mode. But getting rid of...
Clear cookies and site data for that particular site. On Firefox I can do this by clicking on the padlock in the web address box and then clicking on "Clear cookies and site data" at the bottom of the box that comes up. If there is more than one page in an article you may have to repeat this for...
An anecdote, for what it's worth. Many years ago a friend bought a small freezer and had it delivered. It didn't work. He phoned up the supplier/manufacturer and he was told to turn it upside down for 24 hours, then turn it the right way up for 24 hours then turn it on. It worked fine after...
Title : The last thing we need to hear right now is that Boris Johnson will defeat coronavirus because he's a 'fighter'

I actually think "nervous nelly" is rather more polite than the thoughts that go through a lot of doctors' heads. I've had the experience of having a doctor shout at me to "Get out of my office! There's nothing wrong with you!" He was wrong, and although it is poorly written I have the evidence...
This whole thread should be a warning to other authors. Being pretentious and/or using foreign language that can't be translated is guaranteed to put potential readers off reading the paper. I haven't read the paper myself because having a title that nobody can really understand just makes the...
Referring to my posts from yesterday about the mystery parcel that I was promised by text... What can I say? :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:
I went and checked my order page on Amazon and there it was... I ordered two boxes of...
A twitter thread with quite a few links to articles within it suggesting that the treatment paradigm for covid-19 is all wrong because the treatment is concentrated on the wrong problem.
For anyone without a twitter account (like me) you can still read public threads without one.
I just found this ... Fin de siècle which means "end of the century". I'm not convinced it makes any more sense than the original bit of dodgy French in the article, but wondered if it was what was intended.
I'm beginning to think I've forgotten ordering something. I jumped to the conclusion when I received the text that it was something to do with food parcels because of the wording that was used.
It didn't have my name on it or anyone else's. Perhaps it isn't one of those food parcels that some people are getting, and is something else entirely. Wrong number, perhaps? Hopefully the mystery will be solved tomorrow.
It's an enigma wrapped in mystery, I think. I'll just have...
I have received a text telling me that my parcel from superfood market is due tomorrow. It suggests to me that I have been classed as vulnerable by somebody, but I have no idea who or why. I didn't order the food.

When I search for "Arc de siècle" the only reference to it is the article linked in the first post. So I assume it doesn't mean anything to anybody except the authors of the article.
I can't lie on my front either. In my case the problem is adhesions and scarring affecting my abdomen. A few years ago I had an MRI scan and was asked to lie on my front, and it took about 40 minutes as far as I remember. I wasn't aware of it while the MRI was going on but a few minutes after I...
One thing I haven't been able to get hold of for weeks is eggs. I haven't seen any for sale for nearly a month. Nor have I seen pasta for weeks. I can live reasonably happily without pasta, but having no eggs has created a lot of problems for me, in terms of the food I usually eat.
