David Tuller: Trial By Error: My Latest Letter to Archives of Disease in Childhood

Yup. And insisting on participants had to pay themself, was why one of the study proposals on LP here didn't get an ethics approval. There are reasons as to why participants are not to pay to be part of research... :-P

Public Defence: Maria Pedersen – Pediatrics Norway Feb. 28, 2019

Yeah, it's to little information to really know. I'm sort of extrapolating from Wyller being the supervisor, as he is known to use only 6 months unexplained fatigue as a proxy for ME - and then not finding any association with cytokins in his studies. And his focus on kids need to do get and...

Public Defence: Maria Pedersen – Pediatrics Norway Feb. 28, 2019

Not heard of her, or her work before. I see Wyller is her supervisor. So therefore, keep patients with acute EBV infection active and happy - so they don't develope chronic fatigue......? :noteworthy: :bag: Not anything surprisingly with this, for anyone following the research or with...

David Tuller: Trial By Error: My Latest Letter to Archives of Disease in Childhood

Duh - it cost so much to make it work :noteworthy: And that's not me saying it, Live Landmark herself: From an actual discussion in the medical journal in 2009, about adding LP into the ordinary health care, as many were complaining it inacsessible due to high cost. (bing english -...

    PACE Self Owns

But Larun getting Struthers involved - and starting Struthers awareness of and criticing her Cochrane review - must be my favorite :)

ME-seminar in Norway with Lillebeth Larun. LP-paper recommended as preparation literature

Looking for something else, I stumbled over these older interviews. From around the time when the 'knowledge center' was established, 2009. A trip down the memory lane? :) Ellen Piro - founder of the ME association - Do the academic communitites behind knowledge about ME have a hidden agenda...

ME-seminar in Norway with Lillebeth Larun. LP-paper recommended as preparation literature

I'd trust that blog to have correct info/sources. Also Hellands medical title is 'specialist in childrens nevrology' - https://oslo-universitetssykehus.no/fag-og-forskning/nasjonale-og-regionale-tjenester/nasjonal-kompetansetjeneste-for-cfsme/om-oss/ansatte

ME-seminar in Norway with Lillebeth Larun. LP-paper recommended as preparation literature

Helland was in Wyllers team even...?! I didn't know that, and had forgotten about the others in the same position before her - or I wasn't around at that time probably. It sort of felt like I had a blank space trying to tell the history :-P That means the papers Helland/Wyller wrote in 2012...

Intimidation of PACE critics or critics of other Psychosocial research

That's probably technical correct. Making a complaint about someone isn't necessarily the same as attempting them to get fired. Think it would be best to don't make overly assumptions, or overstating things. That has the potential to blow up in our face, I'm afraid :-/

Trial By Error: Professor Sharpe’s Retraction Requests

Agree with you and @Esther12 on this one - not labelling the behavior, just calling it out and let the reader make the conclusion themself. That would have been the approach working best here at least. Calling it harassment would just get us (as in here) involved in a 'screaming match', about...

ME-seminar in Norway with Lillebeth Larun. LP-paper recommended as preparation literature

March 6. Skogli updated the program to remove the ME association as co-host. Apparantly they were part of/invited to be part of a planning group, but non of their suggestions for speakers was approved, so resigned. They were unaware of the SMILE-study to be recommended reading...
