BBC: I made a film from my bed to prove my illness is real - Jen brea

I remember reading some study which seemed to indicate that women were more likely to be abandoned. Can't remember to details now, but google found this Time article: http://time.com/83486/divorce-is-more-likely-if-the-wife-not-the-husband-gets-sick/ There's this older paper [edit: on cancer...

David Tuller seeks anyone involved in the 1955 Royal Free Hospital ME outbreak

I'm really wary of giving anyone any advice. It seems everyone can respond to different things in different ways, and are often best off just finding their own way.

Action for M.E.: New webinar for healthcare professionals coming soon

They seem terrible in so many ways that I think they'd need to be taken over by entirely new people to even be able to recognise how badly they'd got things wrong.

Development of surrogate end-point biomarkers for chronic fatigue and myalgic encephalmyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS)

Mere minutes after your other thread on crowd-funding: https://www.s4me.info/index.php?threads/brain-imaging-study-request-for-crowdfunding.964/ Does this mean I can keep my $6,000?

David Tuller seeks anyone involved in the 1955 Royal Free Hospital ME outbreak

With things like the Royal Free outbreak, it seems so difficult to work out what happened, that I can feel wary of giving them more weight than they deserve in attempts to understand today's patients' ill health. Having said that, I can also understand that those who fell ill as part of an...

Psychology Today - CF Patients: More Research Backing You Up

Definitely a good sign if this is the sort of article which is now being written by seemingly non-specialist writers after they search around on the internet.

Action for M.E.: New webinar for healthcare professionals coming soon

I kept seeing Beardall being annoying and making unfounded accusations of other people abusing her... standards for some claims about 'abuse' can seem low to me. To me, she seemed like someone who tries avoid debate, and we've seen the harm that they can do.

UK: Disability benefits (ESA and PIP) - news and updates up to end of 2020

I think of Field as someone who has been pretty rubbish on a lot of this stuff, but thanks for your work.

Dare to hope... what amazingly great thing might happen in S4ME's first year?

For no good reason at all, I've been feeling less hopeful about rituximab. I think that the lack of an army of positive anecdotes (although there have been some) has affected me. That does seem our best bet for an imminent treatment though. It would be so amazing if a third of us were able to...

Vitamin D status in chronic fatigue syndrome/myalgic encephalomyelitis: a cohort study from the North-West of England

Vitamin D is the only supplement I take. I'm able to get outside so little that it seems a sensible thing to do. I've got CFS... I need to take at least one pill of some sort a day!

A general thread on the PACE trial!

The copy of the initial KCL letter denying Coyne access to PACE data no-longer seems to be on-line. Anyone have a copy they could attach here? http://www.meaction.net/2015/12/12/vexatious-kings-college-london-dismisses-james-coynes-request-for-plos-one-pace-data/
