Chinese robot becomes world's first machine to pass medical exam [looks like PR from manufacturer... but still!]

The rise of sophisticated AI could be really great for health care. Hopefully we won't programme them with a misguided sense of superiority. http://www.chinadaily.com.cn/bizchina/tech/2017-11/10/content_34362656.htm

Does anybody else walk as though they're drunk?

I only get that when I'm doing badly or have really pushed myself more than I should. My balance gets messed and I get stagger-y. Since I've moved somewhere better and been pushing myself with activity less, I've tended to not have problems like that. Best wishes to everyone with this sort of...

Action for ME AGM (UK) is live streaming now

I did seem them talking about changing that somewhat, and then others saying that the changes were pretty cosmetic. I don't know what the exact current situation is.

IiME conference 2018 starting to fill in agenda: J Corbyn (to be confirmed)

That would be amazing. We have been getting good coverage in some of the UK alternative news-site popular with Corbyn's supporters.

Action for ME AGM (UK) is live streaming now

It's not that I don't want to engage with them, it's that they refuse to engage on the most important issues facing PwME in the UK. They're continuing to work with Esther Crawley, while evading questions about the quality of her work and not commenting on her smearing of critics. To me, it seems...

Tymes Trust - No reported harassment of staff at Bristol University

Yes. Also, it seems fair to expect Bristol uni to clarify whether they believe that David Tuller's blogs should be considered 'harassment', or 'libellous' as Crawley as claimed.

Co-creating recovery in CFS/ME: A reflexive exploration of a Rebuilding your Life programme

FINE did widen their entry critieria though, so maybe they're not counting that as a study on severe CFS/ME?

    Opinion on "ME/CFS Service", UK

I do worry that MEA can be too instinctively pro spending money on specialist 'care', when a huge amount of that money is wasted on people who do not help patients. Also, spending money on 'specialists' creates people who have an incentive to exaggerate their own expertise and ability to help...

Daily Mail/AfME: What can you do if you have chronic fatigue?

I think that the Daily Mail might do this intentionally so that their stories do re-appear for people searching for 'recent' web-pages.

Action for ME raises concerns in Scottish Parliament

There does seem to be a problem here.

Great, now kids can get bullied without even needing to turn up to school!

The UK ME/CFS Biobank Christmas 2017 Appeal

I've not donated to this before, but it does sound a sensible use of resources, and Jonathan Edwards was recommending donations. It's the sort of worthy project likely to lead to long-term benefits that I wish more people would donate to... okay, I've talked myself into it. edit- can't do it...

Tymes Trust - No reported harassment of staff at Bristol University

"blogs/tweets and other social media posts that could be regarded as defamatory" They could be? If what? If they weren't true? Has anyone from Bristol University tried engaging in detailed debate with one of Crawley's critics, like Dr Tuller, to see if their posts, which could be regarded as...

Tymes Trust - No reported harassment of staff at Bristol University

It looks like a response from Bristol Uni has now been added: http://vadamagazine.com/news/esther-crawley-claims-harassment-university-no-record Looks like this is on-line at Bristol too...

Esther Crawley - Uni of Exeter 17th Nov Mood Disorders seminar

I've seen nothing in the news about a dangerous American terrorist being seized by police as he attempted to murder Science, so that's a good sign. Maybe Crawley put forth some really strong arguments, and Tuller was convinced?!
