I wouldn’t put writing a joint leaflet as top priority for the charities joint working. Need to focus on putting together some decent education for GPs, pushing for research funding, pressure on CCGs so severe patients get equal access to NHS/social services to people with other illnesses
I’m assuming they had a cards on the table discussion of which the details wouldn’t be set out in public document like these minutes which would always be a more diplomatic version.
It’s kind of understandable that there are several charities
I previously was involved in dementia charities and there are different ones. Cancer has several as well
Always seems to be some with more a support/care focus and others for research. And politics.
So Mark Baker of NICE met Forward ME on 31 October to discuss the New Guidelines which presumably was what Charles Shepherd was referring to at the BioBank Unrest screening which was later that week. So the minutes from 31 Oct eagerly awaited
I thought Neil McGregor had indicated he might have narrowed it down to four genes from what he was saying at OMF in September or has my non science brain let me down again
Can't remember seeing anything about the brief exchange between Jonathan Edwards ad Charles Shepherd about NICE in the Q&A at the bio bank. Seemed like they or at least Charles are aware of more positive developments to come. I can only think that either

Edit:

That's brilliant @Jo Best ive never seen one of those cards before a great way to communicate just how much this means to us and a good number of messages already
Briefly distracted by the shock of the IIME Jeremy Corbyn info yesterday but I will no doubt be extra tired but wired this evening anticipating the full story from David “tear it up”Tuller
Edit Assuming of course he hasn’t been thrown into the Tower for his impertinence
I wonder if anyone’s done an FOI to find out how many FOIs she’s had each year and of those how many she rejected as vexatious and how many were agreed by information commissioner as actually vexatious, how many the information commissioner said no they weren’t.
There's definitely a need to highlight the shoddy treatment people are getting from these so called specialist services. Otherwise there is an impression for GPs and the wider public that the NHS is actually providing a service so it is ok - maybe just patients having a moan because they have...
@Esther12 Simon Duffy weighing in from Centre for Welfare Reform will I think have had some influence
Also not to be underestimated the impact of the parliamentary screening of Unrest where Diane Abbott was in attendance and of course she is in Corbyns inner circle.
