OK--but maybe you missed these two folks from the ALS list? David Niven (1910–1983), British actor.[82] Mao Zedong (1893–1976), Chinese statesman.[112]

Prevalence of (ME/CFS) in three regions of England: a repeated cross-sectional study in primary care, 2011, Lacerda,Nacul

Is it possible that MECFS is much rarer than acknowledged? For example. Prevalence of ALS is 1 out 20,000 people or 0.005%--so MECFS has ~40X the prevalence of ALS. Now look at this anecdotal "stuff" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_people_with_amyotrophic_lateral_sclerosis...

A pilot study of oxidative pathways in MS fatigue: randomized trial of N‐acetyl cysteine, Krysko, 2021

https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/acn3.51325 Interpretation NAC was well‐tolerated in progressive MS, although reduction in fatigue on NAC was similar to placebo. Antioxidant blood and MRS biomarkers were not significantly altered by NAC, which could be due to dose, route of...

Reconciling estimates of global spread and infection fatality rates of COVID‐19: an overview of systematic evaluations, 2021, Ioannidis

Mods have added a first post to provide the abstract and link and changed the thread title. Original thread title: Ioannidis ad-hominem attack paper Not MECFS, but indicative of the status of peer-reviewed journals. Or maybe none of the reviewers read the appendix.

Off label use of Aripiprazole shows promise as a treatment for Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS) Crosby et al. 2021

Some people have had withdrawal issues and needed to restart Abilify to control symptoms (RLS) even though Abilify was no longer effective for MECFS. With psychotropic meds a lot of time the problems (akathisia/TD) are associated with withdrawal not with side effects while taking.

News about Long Covid including its relationship to ME/CFS 2020 to 2021

NY Times Long Covid Is Not Rare. It’s a Health Crisis. Wonder if @Jonathan Edwards could write a letter to the editor about this op-Ed stating that Long Covid is not a useful term since it incorporates several conditions and that post Covid people with MECFS symptoms most probably have MECFS.
