I guess if you’re prepared you’ll be able to stop yourselves from laughing out loud ;)

On line ‘survey’ re UK CFS/ME specialist services

If they try to use this for anything it will be deeply embarrassing. If I was an NHS manager responsible for commissioning services I would be rolling on the floor laughing hysterically if I received this as evidence of anything.

On line ‘survey’ re UK CFS/ME specialist services

From what I’ve seen before AFME and MEA would actually most likely encourage people to say Yes with the argument whatever the service currently provides it’s better to have a specialist service than nothing specifically for ME patients as it’s easier to change something that exists than set up...

How can I persuade my dad to get a stairlift?

ideally this is what an OT could be helping with. Finding a supportive NHS one being the issue of course. I’m sure I’ve seen people mentioning having private OT if that’s a possibility but still needs to be supportive. Is there a local support group you could ask for advice from.

On line ‘survey’ re UK CFS/ME specialist services

Yes @Andy thats already happened in my area. You can’t blame the NHS for getting rid of these clinics when there’s no evidence they’re effective and when you go beneath the veneer of the specialist name what they’ providing is only based on a manual that anyone doing CBT or physio could work to.

Matt Hancock has kept his role as Health Secretary Nicky Morgan is back in the Cabinet so won’t be able to be involved in backbench group working on ME anymore. Although obviously having someone who is fairly well informed about ME in the Cabinet will be useful if she is prepared to raise the...

Is it helpful for MEPedia and ME advocacy to be broadened to include possible co-morbid conditions?

I would think it’s up to groups of people with those illnesses to decide if they want it to be subsumed.

Is it helpful for MEPedia and ME advocacy to be broadened to include possible co-morbid conditions?

there are different levels of advocacy if organisations advocating for Fibromyalgia Lyme EDS etc want to collaborate to highlight issues people with poorly understood illnesses have - access to benefits, ill health pensions, social care etc, and an overall increase in research efforts into...

Piezogenic papules in Ehlers-Danlos and ME/CFS?

Why don’t people check out the general prevalence before including something in criteria it seems such a waste of time.
