Closed USA, Texas - Long Covid stem cell trial - Hope Biosciences

The mind just boggles. this from Solve? honestly, between the BPS nonsense on one side and this sort of thing on the other, it makes me think of Stealers Wheels. I mean really.... talk about "Clowns to the left of me jokers to the right".... ! for those who dont know the song / cant watch...

Petition to UK govt: 'Protect the NHS and All Healthcare: Require #MasksInHealthcare'

They certainly wont provide FFP2/3 they cant even be bothered to provide those to workers looking after people with covid, and they are pricey so they wont do that. In some trusts they have resumed mask (surgical or 'face covering') mandates in hospitals but only in 'clinical areas'. So not in...

Noise cancelling headphones! Oh Joy! (and other ways to block sound)

thats amazing Mango i'm so glad they work for you! i am the same and find them not quite useless, but certainly no better than a standard foam earplug. Just shows how different we all are. Although i dont get any sound distortion with my sensitivity, it just drains battery super fast & makes me...

    Help for sound sensitivity

@Megsyjenks just in case you dont get round to reading the 'joy noise cancelling' thread where this is mentioned. Bose are expensive but if you buy direct from Bose they do a 90 day trial which means you can buy, try for a couple of months and return for full refund if you dont like them. They...

    Help for sound sensitivity

Hi @Megsyjenks welcome to S4 :) I feel for you, sound sensitivity is the bane of my life & that type of humming sound is a flippin nightmare. As Kitty mentioned it may be because its vibrating - sound that carries farthest is usually because its travelling through the ceiling/walls (ie making...

Noise cancelling headphones! Oh Joy! (and other ways to block sound)

Bose noise cancelling cant be beaten i dont think Kitty, they are like a miracle in some ways. My 700s are a godsend when the man comes to cut the lawn with a petrol mower - eradicates the sound so completely i cant tell when he finishes. And the best bit is that if you buy direct from bose...

Opinion Chronic fatigue syndromes: real illnesses that people can recover from, 2023, The Oslo Chronic Fatigue Consortium

from the autotranslate in @mango 's post above they really are extraordinary. We get a miniscule bit of traction in some quarters that actually the old paradigm might just be wrong, and they present the old paradigm as being a completely new one and the press start fawning all over them...

UK - Energy - suppliers, costs, grants, meters etc

Interesting @josepdelafuente has your experience with them been worthwhile do you think. my ruddy mobile number has been spoofed & its such a hassle to change my number when it could happen again the next day, it drives me crazy the way there seems to be no stopping the data purchase/theft &...

UK: Disability benefits (UC, ESA and PIP) - news and updates 2023 (including government plans to scrap the work capability assessment)

I found that attitude @josepdelafuente - they want it answering in a certain way and you have to fit in with that or they get mad. Also found you have to repeat specifics of each symptom for every single question. I hope the outcome is good, its awful going through it i glad you had your friend...

Does ME/CFS cause permanent damage? Discussion thread

I'm really sorry you are suffering so much @jaded & i can understand why this comment from a researcher could be upsetting. But honestly i would take any opinion of any researcher with a pinch of salt. It really irritates me the way they make these off the cuff statements with little thought...

Developing a blood cell-based diagnostic test for ME/CFS using peripheral blood mononuclear cells, 2023, Xu, Morten et al

wow you just turned my entire thinking on its head. I'd always thought 'if only something would show abnormal on a test then people would believe me'. But sh*t, its not that simple is it. God, can you imagine, the thought of that scenario makes me tear up. Its like a wild fantasy. But i can see...

Closed UK: DecodeME updates, was recruitment thread.

in a FB group i a member of i shared a hand written post explaining & plugging Decode, i got one like & comment from someone who'd already done it. My posts generally do get responses so it was odd. However i noticed yesterday that someone else had simply shared a link to the questionnaire page...

Opinion Chronic fatigue syndromes: real illnesses that people can recover from, 2023, The Oslo Chronic Fatigue Consortium

Opinion Chronic fatigue syndromes: real illnesses that people can recover from, 2023, The Oslo Chronic Fatigue Consortium

lol i love the way they position themselves as 'questioning the current narrative', what a joke! they are the ones who wrote the 'current narrative' - which is that all symptoms are reversible with CBT & GEt thats been the narrative for a couple/3 decades and is as strong now as it ever...

Thanks Andy for your care. The way i see it is that one more missed bath wont make much difference in the scheme of things. But Decode might lead to me being able to get treatment so i can take as many baths as i like, so temporarily, its worth it. this, precisely this
