I won't get into politics, but PM Modi failed the people of India and now they need urgent help.
In early March PM Modi assured PM Trudeau that they would do their best to support Canada's vaccination efforts. We were desperate. We temporarily suspended the AZ vaccines and they were...
I've been dealing with a vestibular neuritis virus for over a year and this negatively affects my mood. I've never experienced anything like it. A couple of years ago I posted a link (can't find it) that explains pacing to prevent "post exertional malaise' when dealing with vestibular...
@BurnA
Are you aware that over 80% of vaccines have been allocated to richer countries? There is a fundamental injustice here.
Canada dipped into the COVAX supply which is for undeveloped countries. This week a direct cash commitment was doubled to COVAX to help buy COVID-19 vaccines for...
My point from BurnA post was that we should donate/share more of our vaccines with underdeveloped/poorer countries and not vaccination our 12 yr olds right now.
India has 1.2 billion people, and with new variants developing, we will be back at square one if we don't contain the transmission...
@BurnA
Our situation in Canada is a little different than the UK. We have limited vaccines available and need to vaccinate the most vulnerable (seniors and immune compromised) with second jabs first before 12 yr olds. We only have 7% of our population immunized with second doses.
@JemPD
Yes, you make a good point.
"This means that if I put patients with exercise intolerance into an established cardiac / pulmonary rehabilitation program, they will worsen clinically. If I expect patients to have a “normal” working day despite the symptoms, it will worsen clinically"...
What do you mean by basic foods? I don't think lamb is that popular in N America? In the spring there is plenty of leg of lamb at my grocery store from Aussie and N Zealand.
I live in the city and I can't tell you how many take-out delivery guys I see when I'm out for my walks in the evening in the last 7 years. Tons. Tons of pizza boxes stacked outside on garbage night. They must be making a fortune now with Doordash, Ubereats, Skip the Dishes . . .

I thought I was the only person who experienced this until around 2003 when I started reading about other ppl's experiences online, but it wasn't referred to as PEM back then, it was referred to as "wtf?".
In general it takes me 2-3 days to recover. It also depends on how much I've overdone. Many years ago I decided to go for a light jog (25 minutes) because I was feeling particularly good for 2 days, it took one week to recover. It was horrible.
I don't consider myself mild, moderate or...
So my local pharmacist just informed me that we can book home services :mad: from our public health.
It's not advertised and I've been waiting for months to feel better to go to a nearby clinic.
On Saturday, the Vietnamese authorities revealed they had discovered a “very dangerous” new coronavirus variant that combined mutations first found in India and the UK, and which spreads quickly by air.
Local experts say that although the full genomic sequence of Vietnam's potential hybrid was...
There are several genotypes for Hep C, and several medications/combos available depending on the genotype. their treatment time-line is only prescribed for several weeks, unlike ME specialist who put their pts on meds for years with little or no improvements.
There's this explanation from Ron Davis:
25:47 Now the other thing that we decided to do in this project is to test some of the ideas that patients have had, are they right or not. So I've heard a lot from patients that "Oh I keep getting viral infections . . .I get them all the time, it's...
