Hmm
giving benefits stops you working or getting better. That sounds….familiar.
I did not have “Labour internalises BSP and rolls it out as policy, across all disability benefits” on my 2025 bingo card, but here we are.
I can’t support something if there’s no receipt. This is why screenshots are important. Especially these days on X where you can edit etc.
Anyway, headline news is Garner’s n=1 result still receiving far too much attention.
I feel like there should be some caution around “all the pwME who aren’t even claiming” as well. The way things are in the public discourse just now, it will add credence to the “they’re not really ill, then, if they’re not even claiming and are managing without”.
Everyone wants stats on pwME...
For me, I want to understand what she’s trying to evidence and why it’s relevant.
Because I suspect that the evidence won’t be forthcoming and there are other ways to account for that.
And to be honest her method worries me, it’s a bit amateur, no? “I did a poll (on Twitter) which is my source...
I still want to know “why”?
what’s she hoping to achieve? 5k severe people get pip and don’t have 4 points?
How does this info help?
Hasn't she heard of the 25% maybe she should just ask them.
edited - I got confused and thought she was writing a brief, but she’s doing a brief survey.
Maybe they were involved to some extent….
I sadly once worked with someone who contacted interpol regarding what they believed to be a fraudulent sick note from an overseas clinic. Their involvement was to very politely tell him this isn’t their remit. I can only hope it gave them a good laugh...
It seems she just wants everyone who is severe and gets pip to answer that they are severe and get pip?
I’m sorry but I don’t understand the aim of this, if that’s all she wants to know she could have added a voting button.
I think the chances of all PIP ME claimants responding to this are low...
There are a category of approx 20 people who apparently have been helped by GET or Brain Training or LP or that Chiropractor thing, they never STFU about it, you should have no trouble working out who they are or what treatment they are promoting.
Well sometimes you can’t appeal. If you’re claiming only one area should be 4 but you got a 2, there’s no material difference in the award so even on an error of law you wouldn’t be granted an appeal.
I have just bought one of these stands for £15.
So far I love it! It is lightweight, not sure it would survive being dropped/chucked about but it holds the iPad firmly, you can adjust the angle it’s held at (the gubbins are like gears so it stays in place well) I’m a bit of a fatty so it just...
We do know how many are affected by the proposed cuts, and the % of those with fatigue related disorders as their main reason for claiming PIP.
It’s on the benefits thread, I can’t recall the figures but we do know.
