That’s normal in Uk too.
I did once get a bed whilst waiting for discharge, after 8hrs I had a migraine. I was the last of my “group” to be seen aka they forgot about me as I wasn’t in the waiting room.
The only place which had a bed for me to use was the DWP medical assessment place for work...
I believe that hospitals don’t have the space for lying down somewhere - the modern ones are being built with not enough beds, wards or waiting room chairs. So that’s probably the biggest hurdle.
The second is how “weird” dynamic disability is. I”ve been thinking I’d love to go to the theatre...
Thank you. I think I’m “one and done” and the exercises are helping already. I was sure it was muscle tension dysphonia, the advice is to see a SALT to review your individual way of using your voice box, they don’t like generic advice for this, but even just understanding that I tense up and...
Thanks.
It also made me ponder, the last ENT wanted me to go to counselling. Was he trying to address the issue of “stress” the wrong way? Being upright and operating is stressful for me, it puts a huge strain on my physical being. It’s not stressful because I’m anxious, I’m in pain and...
I think it’s a marketing phrase and it’s used inappropriately by the Paralympics Organisation.
It’s true that every body moves, to some degree, starting with breathing in and out.
However there are a large number of people who are unable to take part in the Paralympics because of their...
Well. I had my appointment and I couldn’t have imagined it would go so well!
The consultant had a senior speech therapist with him. They did the camera up my nose - then asked me to make various noises. They removed the camera and played back the video of my voice box to show me where the issues...
If anything I’m weirdly optimistic. When some people say “he doesn’t know his own strength” I’m the opposite, I consistently fail to understand my own weakness. I don’t appreciate that I can’t do things. I put things off that I’m definitely going to get round to. I absolutely agree to attend...
Night sweats cause sweat which causes prickly heat, I wouldn’t find that so odd. It’s interesting data but also it’s very lacking in detail. I’d want to know date/time/menstruation/gender alongside it for a start.
Ok thanks. I disagree with “collections of symptoms…Co-occur more than you would naïvely expect” the Co-occurring symptoms are exactly what I’d expect, I’m not sure why this is of note.
Of course it’s not, but I think you’re taking it personally because of your involvement. I’m sure if you can check the log of the comments you will find that one.
That doesn’t detract from my point that consideration should be given to a style guide, and focussed communications which don’t make...
I really feel the problem here is the intense desire for there to be a problem. Where studies have been carried out, “catastrophizing” isn’t really found, or if it is, it’s not at a scale which is problematic. End of discussion. No further efforts required.
We can all access talking therapy...
Interesting, I use bearable a few years ago. I liked it but then Visible came along.
In simple terms, what is this data showing? I am hard of understanding data
