And like it or not, but we live in a world where physical conditions are taken more seriously.

That crap again. I don't have a problem with mental conditions. I'm living with autism, PTSD, binge eating disorder, and probably some degree of OCD. ME also causes me cognitive impairment. I have a problem when a medical condition that has nothing to do with my thoughts is blamed on my...

    Covid-19 vaccines and vaccinations

The text of the Tweet is misleading. Here's what the CDC vaccines director actually said: Again, he never said there was a causal relationship between the vaccines and health problems. However, the way he spoke is concerning. It's all non-action. We need to determine: Are these health...

Myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome: an overview of current evidence 2023 Ludwig et al

The BPS doctors worrying about being a minority is a very encouraging sign. They're seeing the writing on the wall. Biomedical ME & LC research is getting far more attention than BPS, and current guidance is strongly skewed towards biomedical. BPS treatments are still common in clinical practice...

(Recruiting) Exercise Intolerance in Post-COVID Patients, 2022, Lundberg et al

Is this a treatment study or a symptom provocation study? If it's the latter, a HIIT workout will be harsh but effective.

The effect of COVID rehabilitation for ongoing symptoms Post HOSPitalisation with COVID-19 (PHOSP-R): protocol... 2023 Daynes et al

Wow, it's clear that knowledge of PEM and that exercise isn't safe is spreading throughout medicine based on this.

The emotional well-being of Long COVID patients in relation to their symptoms, social support and stigmatization... 2023 Samper-Pardo et al

I don't agree with your criticism. I looked through the paper. It doesn't treat long Covid as psychological. It doesn't treat the suffering of people with LC as fake. It cites factors such as grief over becoming disabled, social isolation caused by reduced social functioning, stigma...

Brain positron emission tomography (PET) and cognitive abnormalities one year after COVID-19 2023 Ferrucci et al

Good point. That's a major problem with metabolomics and microbiome research.

    The $10 test

I don't find the $10 test useful. Plenty of people will pay for a treatment they thinks helps a little, but is just a placebo.

Direct impact of COVID-19 by estimating disability-adjusted life years at national level in France in 2020, 2023, Haneef et al

What can you make of this paper? I highly doubt assuming long Covid lasts 140 days is a good measure. Especially when people with more severe LC are likely to stay debilitated for longer.

COVID-19 infection does not seem to affect cognition in college students 2023 Francis and Thunell

No, it doesn't. They listed this as a limitation. They seem to compare two different groups, rather than the same students before vs. after infection.

I would sign up immediately if they took Medicare and it was available here. I'm very uncomfortable with doctors who don't understand ME because suspect I have medical PTSD. Pennsylvania might come soon--I imagine they're prioritizing the biggest states--but I'm not holding my breath for...
