Treatment effects of multimodal inpatient psychotherapy for post-COVID patients: First results from a non-randomized, controlled study, 2026, Koller+

I have no idea but it would be incredibly funny if it wasn't so deeply destructive and frightening. These people think they are doing science. They think this parade of woo nonsense and reheated Freudianism is good science. And apparently so do the people that fund them.

    Preprint A phase 2a double-blind, placebo-controlled randomized trial of the SARS-CoV-2-specific monoclonal antibody AER002…, 2026, Peluso+

I've seen reports of people made a lot worse from Pemgarda too. I think at a certain point these researchers need to see the writing on the wall and pivot. But not towards the placebo effect :banghead:

Yeah you feel like quoting mean girls at them 'Stop trying to make viral persistance happen'

Trial Report Plasma cell targeting with the anti-CD38 antibody daratumumab in ME/CFS -a clinical pilot study, 2025, Fluge et al

It does seem ambitious but given how quickly fluge and mella got going on dara p2 perhaps not impossible.

Developing a platform protocol for clinical trials evaluating interventions that target proposed mechanisms of [LC]: RECOVER-VITAL, 2026, Zimmerman+

Because they haven't wasted enough time looking for what almost certainly isn't there.

Dysregulated NK-cell gene expression defines the enduring symptoms of long COVID-19, 2026, Ray et al

One of these days, one of these studies will live up to the hype. Well, I guess it probably won't be hyped up by The Twitterati feat ChatGPT, but it will actually show something major.

Dysregulated NK-cell gene expression defines the enduring symptoms of long COVID-19, 2026, Ray et al

Okay so what do we think, does this live up to the hype of these twitter posts?

Prevalence of Multiple Chemical Sensitivity in Canada Between 2000 and 2020, 2026, Robins et al

Same including strong food smells or smoke. But since my decline to severe (or possibly my first covid infection) I have become allergic to my old beard oil in like a throat closing up and wheezing a bit when I put it on kind of way. Which is kind of different imo to the way I react to strong...

Trial Report Plasma cell targeting with the anti-CD38 antibody daratumumab in ME/CFS -a clinical pilot study, 2025, Fluge et al

I haven't seen any kind of a timeframe for the ixatuximab study, afaik there isnt a protocol or anything anywhere yet. It would be good if it finished before or at the same time as dara, esp if both were positive. It would provide an added degree of confidence for off label prescription and...

Has anyone had an EMG while in PEM?

Sorry to hear about your experience! Neurologists seem particularly disposed to treating pwME badly for some reason...

Published poetry books by people with ME/CFS

The UK LRB (not sure if affiliated) is very pro BPS so this framing isn't shocking, but what is shocking is Lockwood herself accepting it and using it as well. Is she a literary Garner? I don't know much about her story. It is disappointing that this is what passes for literary representation...

UK: All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on ME news, 2020 onward

In Germany there was also a football team whose fans showed pro MECFS advocacy messages during games. Something like this would boost visibility and public awareness.

Has anyone had an EMG while in PEM?

I was supposed to have an EMG three years ago but never got it. Partly due to the prospect of travelling half an hour to be repeatedly shocked so that the data could be sent to a neurologist who looked at me like something nasty in a petri dish and clearly thought I was insane. Every time I...

UK: All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on ME news, 2020 onward

I wonder if there is an equivalent of Germanys campaign with the empty beds outside government buildings...maybe just stealing that? Or a campaign highlighting the behaviour of the psychobehavioural school, the illogical arguments they use and the harms they have caused. I think we need a...
