Candidate treatments for long COVID: a narrative review of expert and patient-driven priorities, 2026, Baptista, Glasziou+

None of the details of the exercise trials are in the paper, so I wanted to check the supplementary material, but I can't find Appendix 1. I see a file called "Supplementary file 1.docx" which includes "Appendix A: Search terms for the living database", but it doesn't seem to have Appendix 1.

Evidence of White Matter Neuroinflammation in [ME/CFS]: A Diffusion-Based Neuroinflammation Imaging Study 2026 Yu et al

I think Casterofspells meant to say "sedentary", suggesting that sedentary people would be lying down just as much.

Evidence of White Matter Neuroinflammation in [ME/CFS]: A Diffusion-Based Neuroinflammation Imaging Study 2026 Yu et al

I'm just starting with reading the abstract, but this directionality is reversed for between-group vs within-ME/CFS, right? If so, I think this would make the finding less compelling.

Trial Report Plasma cell targeting with the anti-CD38 antibody daratumumab in ME/CFS -a clinical pilot study, 2025, Fluge et al

I like that they are continuing to do the open-label study at the same time, for more immediate, even if less reliable, results. A steady drip of unblinded results until finally revealing the blinded results.

It's odd. That link seems to work on my phone to get full access, but only when using certain VPNs, and not without VPN. On desktop, it doesn't seem to work no matter which VPN location I try, or without VPN. Edit: Seems good now.

Evidence of White Matter Neuroinflammation in [ME/CFS]: A Diffusion-Based Neuroinflammation Imaging Study 2026 Yu et al

Hmm, that is strange. I sent an email to the journal to see if they can clarify.

    News from The Netherlands

It sounds like they're implying that this decision was somewhat based on recommendations of people with ME/CFS. I can imagine that some people who are sick might think that this is the best option to feel better faster, and ZonMw might have felt pressure to take on this idea.

    News from The Netherlands

It sounds like they're overly optimistic, where they're sure they'll find something that works, so they want to be sure what they find is cheap. I think they're limiting their options unnecessarily. The priority, in my opinion, should be identifying real, replicable findings. A trial in ME/CFS...

Preprint Persistent SARS-CoV-2 Spike is Associated with Localized Immune Dysregulation in Long COVID Gut Biopsies, 2026, Abraham Soria et al

That's a good point. All 6 of the significant genes after FDR correction from one of the main findings are on the Y chromosome (quoted below with links to GeneCards added). The groups differ by sex (6/8 female LC vs 1/5 female controls), so it seems to make sense that a group with fewer males...
