I reckon they work on the basis that as long as the study exists it’s adding to their case. However once you actually get reviewers or in this case a Committee that looks beyond the abstract and doesn’t take conclusions on face value the fact the content is so shoddy should work against their case.
It’s possible to put in redirects when you make changes like that. I can see why they tidied it as it was an odd file name but sending your website users scrabbling round to find the replacement is not good practice.
Agreed but it’s not a bad start and hopefully they could be persuaded to revise it with information about PEM as patients begin to register that the time frame for any anticipated recovery is stretching and get a better understanding of what PEM is and how it affects them in practice.
