Agreed! And I would tend to recommend CCC for that. It nets the smallest group out of the whole, which at least means we're looking at a narrower field. Still no guarantee we're looking at the right thing. But a better chance.

That's my current, personal strategy, where I have the time to have a conversation. I should specifically point out that this isn't the policy of #MEAction, which aims to use ME in all official communications.
I've gone through a cycle re: the naming thing.
I am probably one of few Americans actually diagnosed using the label "ME/CFS" because it was CCC that was used as the dx criteria, and that's what the report calls it.
Most Americans are diagnosed with "chronic fatigue syndrome", not ME or even...
The thing is, whether a thought is helpful may not have anything to do with whether or not it's true. "I have a dreadful illness" is a crappy thought, but labeling that thought 'unhelpful' is to deny reality.
I'd be shocked if it hadn't been said.
