    Singing and gargling

So.. no S4ME choir then.. If Ros Vallings has good evidence to support her remark, then I too think she should present it. If not it's just musing out loud in front of a vulnerable audience.

    Singing and gargling

I remember not having the energy to sing being, in the early days, one of the most strangely surprising things to me because it seemed so random. I think that was when I began to really appreciate that we really do need energy for everything.

Chrysalis Effect is finalist in health care prize

Hmmm. Double blinded tigers are quite unlikely to find a tiger repelling rock however big it is. Especially if the selection criteria is broad enough to include tigers with depression. I bet they could still find Chrysalis Effect founder Elaine Wilkins from Oxted by smell though.

'Possible duress' would be unacceptable and would be for the chair and vice chair to deal with.

Anyone fancy becoming a Cochrane peer reviewer? https://cmd.cochrane.org/peer-referees https://join.cochrane.org/join-cochrane They provide training. It sounds as if it would be impossible for many with ME, but perhaps someone might be interested in finding out more.

The Guardian's Science Weekly podcast - 2 November 2018 - What role should the public play in science?

A good interviewer will also ask the difficult questions rather than ask question after question that sets up the next bit of propaganda from the interviewees.

Any one willing to take on responsibility for drafting this? I agree an S4ME group letter would be a good idea.

    Ketogenic diet

Thanks for that @Kafka. I am low carb already (apart from indulgences from time to time) so hoping it won't be too hard. My cognitive problems just make taking things like this on so darn difficult. Will def. look into urine strips - didn't think of those. Dairy makes me phlegmy too and don't...

    Ketogenic diet

This thread has been very interesting to me and I have begun some tentative steps towards cutting carbs right down (already pretty low most days). I hope I can follow through with it. I'm not sure I can handle testing ketos on top of everything else, but I'm taking a one step at a time approach...
