Complete remission with histamine blocker in a patient with intractable hyperadrenergic postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome secondary to PASC

I was watching a really interesting thing about cat allergy this wk. It can be treated by the addition of egg powder to cats food as long as the eggs come from hens that are exposed to cats. There's a new type of Purina cat food coming on the market with this added to it that also helps. There's...

Blood–brain barrier disruption and sustained systemic inflammation in individuals with long COVID-associated cognitive impairment, 2024, Greene et al

I wonder if anyone remembers research from the 1990s or early 2000s, possibly in Scotland, where something similar was proposed as the cause of ME/CFS? I just feel like this might be familiar, I have a vague recollection of something like this but I do not have details - or the memory to recall...

The LIFT trial (OMF) - Pyridostigmine (mestinon) and Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN)

I might be completely wrong side out today but the acronym and trial title annoy me no end. Very crass for people who are bedbound housebound and severely disabled for decades. Sounds so happy clappy. I spent a year on ldn to no avail.

Has anyone else here struggled with a persistent verruca?

The duct tape worked very well for me.

International ME/CFS Conference of the Charité Fatigue Center on 11./12. May 2023 in Berlin, supported by the ME/CFS Research Foundation

I found this twitter thread insightful, not able to delve into it now myself but thought people might be interested. At the end there is a link to the talk from Google drive. Hope it's OK to post this here. Thanks for all the work you all do here ❤️ Still thinking about the bit regarding the...

Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome: Essentials of Diagnosis and Management, 2021, Bateman et al

I was pleasantly surprised by how good this article is. I can't think of anything in it that I would fault. This is thoroughly researched and one I would consider very worthwhile sending to GPs and doubters. There is great detail in it and I so wish that this was what we were waiting to come...

It was really good to read this today. A message went out that was positive from our viewpoint.

For faster progress in ME/CFS research, funders and researchers need to treat patients as partners, not subjects (Simon M blog)

Thank you for such an excellent article and for such clarity that I can take it in with my very foggy head.

Trial By Error: Why Have Experts in MUS Spent Ten Years Mis-Citing a Study about Costs to the NHS? David Tuller

I don't think they care about lies or morals or conscience..and people like that are probably considered to be sociopaths. They don't consider the damage they have done and they have an ardent desire to continue on the same path. I like the way David Tuller goes after them lie by lie , oh ...

Scientists find new evidence linking essential oils to seizures

I have used in the past ,in the early days of my sickness and found they caused a huge negative impact on my illness as did many household cleaners ,perfumes and any scented candle. I would not have them in the house now. Every symptom became ramped up very quickly in their presence. Thankfully...

Labelling Long COVID and ME/CFS symptoms in children 'mental health'

I almost feel despair when I see their names associated with another study dealing with children , our most vulnerable when they are at their most vulnerable. Hopefully the other people involved will be of a different calibre to them .

Crowdfunding: Trial by Error [David Tuller] Reporting on ME, CFS, ME/CFS, "medically unexplained symptoms," and related stuff, Spring 2021

We all have skin in this game David, I feel your work is very important! We are all watching with you. I would like to think of any ways we could to help out. Are there any charities we could lobby to help? Maybe we could ask any local groups we are part of if they've any money left over. I...

Crowdfunding: Trial by Error [David Tuller] Reporting on ME, CFS, ME/CFS, "medically unexplained symptoms," and related stuff, Spring 2021

I'm following David Tullers work closely for years and I feel it will be so important for all of us. I'm really getting quite worried he won't make the target. Is there anyway we could add a stickied post across the site publicising the fact that the fundraiser is on? Or at least a stickied post...

    NICE ME/CFS guideline - draft published for consultation - 10th November 2020

It is hard to trust this as we have never had any reason to trust NICE or their duplicitous advisers in the past .I hope this won't be an even bigger setback than just the delay .It is disappointing.

Heart Rate Monitor Factsheet - Workwell Foundation

Are the heart rate monitors we can buy commercially even sensitive enough to maintain such a narrow margin of error? I've read up and some felt just gesticulating and waving their hands was sending heart rate much higher, or at least sending the recording higher. Does anyone have a monitor they...
