Total blood volume and red blood cell volume are not associated with orthostatic intolerance in adults with myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome
Orthostatic intolerance is common in myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS) and may worsen daily functioning...

BACKGROUND
Postural tachycardia syndrome (POTS) has...
Highlights
POTS causes cardiovascular instability and severe symptoms.
Postural hyperventilation is thought to cause POTS, but the mechanisms are unclear.
Reduced stroke volume and brain perfusion drive postural hyperventilation in POTS.
Stroke volume and brain perfusion should be targeted as...
Abstract
50% of POTS patients are hypocapnic during orthostasis related to initial orthostatic hypotension (iOH). We determined whether iOH drives hypocapnia in POTS by low BP or decreased cerebral blood flow velocity (CBFv). We studied 3 groups; healthy volunteers (N=32, 18±3y) were compared...

My take away from this: patients with hypocapnic cerebral hypoperfusion present the same symptoms as patients with POTS but can fail a tilt test due to absence of tachycardia.
ME/CFS is also mentioned.
