Are two symptom-severity peaks in short-term viral illness common in PwME and if so, what does it mean?

If I catch a new viral illness, I tend to feel worse about 3-4 days from first noticing symptoms, then I improve considerably for a few days, and then I get worse again until all the symptoms go away after about 10-14 days.

I don't recall this two-peak pattern before I got ME/CFS and am wondering if other have noticed it and if so, does it tell us anything about mechanism, especially in the light of the increasing focus that seems to be developing on the forum concerning particular possibilities (such as the discussion around buspirone)?

The beginning and ending of the first week seems to be where changes occurred in my getting ME/CFS, signs, and first symptoms of ME/CFS anyway. The ending of the first week I would add a day 8, 9 and possibly 10th just to keep it within an end time frame but a bit extended.

I should add my first symptom at the beginning was very severe imbalance, never experienced before and at the end of the nasty cold I had sudden cognitive change.
