BMJ: Myalgic encephalomyelitis, 1989 R G Walker

Interesting to read those views on ME/CFS from 1989 - they all could pretty much have been written yesterday.
They are letters to the BMJ about an article it published:
Richmond C, Myalgic encephalomyelitis, Princess Aurora and the Wandering Womb, BMJ 1989
@Sly Saint, is there a reason for singling out the letter from RG Walker on that page? Is it that the BMJ continues to publish "sensible" articles on the subject that "emphasise the positive aspects of how to help these people get better"?
