    CROI - Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections

    At this years CROI conference there were some presentations on Long-COVID (videos can be found at https://www.croiwebcasts.org/portal/ by using search terms such as "Long-Covid" or "post-acute"). There were also presentations of Ebola survives which might be of interest.

    The summary points from the second poster (by Dominique Salmon's team) are —
    • Circulating megakaryocyte frequency is increased in LC
    • Megakaryocytes contain SARS-CoV-2 Spike and dsRNA in LC
    • Spike is detected in plasma in LC
    • Platelets contain SARS-CoV-2 Spike and RNA in LC
    • Peripheral serotonin was reduced in LC
