I've had ME for 25 years. For the last 5 years, I'v been drawing cartoons about the people, issues and events associated with ME. I just finished my 18th cartoon. Some of the cartoons have appeared from time to time on this website. If you would like to see all of the cartoons, they are collected together on my website beginning with a graphic about Whitney Dafoe whose story moved me to start drawing. Here is my latest cartoon. I hope you enjoy it. - Sally Jones
This is great. Thanks for making these! The cartoons depict recent ME/CFS history, such as the debunking of the PACE trial, NIH underfunding and now COVID-19. As others have noted COVID-19 could lead to a historic turning point in ME/CFS history and the way the illness is viewed.
A a couple of people have asked me if they can use the cartoons on other sites to promote ME awareness. Yes. Of course!
@ballard thank you so much for continuing this excellent work of yours, i had been used in social media with great interest. In regards to the latest one as posted on the first post, it would be great to add a historical explanation of ‘what took you so long’- For those not familiar with the ME history.
The content and drawing is so well-done! Funny, accurate, sad all at once. I remember seeing the bear comic at Naviaux's presentation! Thanks for sharing.
I remember seeing the bear comic at Naviaux's presentation! I was really honored that he used the cartoon! Wish I could have been there.
