Episodes of slowed movement

I had one episode of extremely slowed movement a few weeks ago. It was a bizarre experience, hard to describe. It felt like walking through water, yet I was incapable of using more strength to move any faster. I have seen several other people describe this as a symptom of ME/CFS. I was wondering if there is any kind of name for this, or if there has been any research on this as a symptom?
I ended up lying in bed for a few hours, and it just disappeared again. I don't think I was in PEM either, but I don't clearly remember, and I have been feeling slightly in PEM for a while now.

While I do also get fatigue and heaviness, this felt a lot more noticeable. When it feels heavy, I can force my muscles to still function, but that was not possible in this case.

I only had this when I was first ill, I looked really odd walking so slowly, it only lasted a few days. I just couldn’t move any faster.

Now I start off normal, decline, then stop. Sometimes I feel like the gravity is heavier than usual, I’m in a crash and it’s like that now, like a force is acting on me. Or like resistance? I used to swim in the sea in the past, so if I ever used a pool the water gave lots of resistance because it was in a confined area.

I had slowed movement for two days recently, on one occasion slowing me down considerably when taking delivery of some groceries. I had to actually apologise to the deliverer for my slowness. I haven't had it since, and don't recall having it before, although I do often get slow when I have other symptoms. This time I didn't have other symptoms. Weird.

I notice the difference in speed and gait between walking to somewhere from the car park (usually not more than couple of hundred metres)doing the activity for a couple of hours and walking back to the car. Eg football match we park on the stadium car park and it is only a short distance I don’t do anything before I go out to football so my energy level is near its max for the day. Going on my walking is pretty normal. Coming off i have to push myself.

I particularly used to get this at my old house I would meet friends at a cafe and it would be a struggle to walk back to the car little old lady walking. I was still fairly uninformed about ME/CFS. The worst example I decided to get the tram home from the city centre. I walked to the tram stop. And from the tram stop to my old house was about 3 minutes walk for a healthy person. This walk took me about 15 minutes as I approached my house I was walking so slowly a passer by actually commented on my walking “go on duck you can do it!”
