Heat intolerance and decreased neurological function in MS

    Interesting twitter thread highlighting mechanism .
    Seems to be relevant to POTS too.

    Given overlaps the mechanism is interesting -
    calcium channels , which have been discussed in ME/CFS research. For some cold exposure reverses effect ( thinking of "cold" treatment collaborative research by Morten and Polish team )

    Sounds awfully familiar yeah. When my health went up over the past 2 years so did my tolerance to heat. I do experience symptom exacerbation with cold too though.

    So being closer to the equator decreases risk of developing MS, but if you do get it you then may want to be further from the equator.

    Used to be the sunlight aspect ( vit d) and Celtic gene that were thought to play into distribution.

    Heat - well there's always a joke for Scots cold tolerance / heat intolerance , so who knows
