Thank you @John Mac. This is helpful advice for other lawyers, as well as pwME.

I would imagine most disability lawyers keep up on how to prove their ME clients' cases. But we can never be sure about that. Some time ago, I learned of one disability lawyer fighting these cases who was not very well acquainted with ME or Fibromyalgia, despite working for clients with these diseases.

I think it's a good idea to send some info to law firms about ME. Especially summaries like the MEAction science round up, and the video included here.

I would add OI testing to the list as proof.



And, there are these tests ME experts use, listed in Dr. Lily Chu's article. Tests include the 2 day CPET, tilt table, NK cells, neurological psychological testing (includes memory testing), and brain imaging:

@Sbag, your comments about don't assume those who advertise they are experts actually are, reminded me of an experience I had. Having read the website of a respected expert, I asked about some particular assistance, noted on the website.
What I was interested in was dismissed as not relevant anymore. An out of date website can be misleading. At the very least, professionals should update their websites.

I think they just put anything to get your business! I would be dubious about the claims of legal expertise as well if I didn’t know that they must have qualifications
