Same basic stuff underneath. But LP is both more extreme, and more blatant about it.

(I sometimes wonder how much damage Crawely did to her own reputation & standing within the profession with that study, and if that had anything to do with her retiring.)
 
I don't think that's true. They both involve trying to get pwME to believe they are not really ill, but LP takes it to extremes, with the use of brainwashing techniques, secrecy, and cult like pyramid selling scheme to hook people into the cult.
Reading about LP just takes me back to that CBT. No more treatment if you don’t agree things are better. If things aren’t getting better, you’re not doing it right. If you do it right you will feel the benefits.
