4. RECOMMENDATIONS
Enough is now known and agreed about case definition, diagnostic protocols and effective treatment for chronic fatigue syndrome to make the following recommendations:

That was a bold statement in 1998.
Some of that isn't too bad. E.g.:
Make available accurate and appropriate written information for medical and paramedical staff to give to patients and their carers. Patient organisations have considerable experience in this field and this resource should be utilised.
Also:
Develop constructive and friendly working relations with local and national patient organisations.
 
Tom, you are amazing. I think Westcare released a simplified version of the 1994 report aimed at the public, which I threw away 20 years ago. Now I'm looking at the history of ME, to find you've archived the actual report plus these others is incredible. Many thanks.

Cheers. I should say though I didn't do any work on scanning or anything like that. I'm not sure who did. I think that Marc-Alexander Fluks has done some sort of work like that over the years.
