This leaflet provides a summary of what biomedical research is telling us about M.E. It considers key symptoms, common triggers, and explains how various aspects of disease pathology could be linked to specific symptoms. All references for the research mentioned below, along with more detail, can be found in the ME Association’s Clinical and Research Guide.
We have produced a new M.E. Research Summary. This handy leaflet explains what could be causing and perpetuating the disease.
You might find it helpful when trying to explain to others the emerging biomedical evidence for M.E.
It can be downloaded free from our website but we'd encourage you to make a donation to our Christmas Appeal if you feel able.
