    Dear Dr. Edwards,

Have you had the opportunity to discuss your speculations with other physicians? Have they shown interest? Is anyone looking into your ideas?

I understand that naming folks is out of the question. But I'm just wondering if other doctors or researchers are sharing your ideas.[/QUOTE]

Yes, other doctors share my ideas. They are part of a pool of ideas we discuss. Some are doing good research on such ideas - but we are covering this in our various threads. I guess it is a bit like a board meeting of a hedge fund - there are fingers in various pies but the exact reasons why there are this or that many fingers in any one pie are not necessarily easy to explain!

Would it be premature to share with us the general thrust of the ideas being discussed? I know you are considering some sort of signalling dysfunction and lean towards a particular cell receptor being involved but it would be useful to have this fleshed out somewhat particularly in the context of the Ritux phase III non result.

What I was trying to say is that the speculations that I have are already part of our discussions here on S4ME, or have been elsewhere. We have covered all sorts of options. I do not have anything more to add and do not want to highlight anything particular.

This is why we need interdisciplinary research teams.
