    Following @Samuel's post, you can put Parkinson's on your list of diseases that were viewed as psychosomatic in the past, it seems.

    Though was that just one person's opinion or popular opinion of the time (and only in one country or internationally).

    I think that is an important question. Did this view enter any textbook, compendium etc.?

    Have no access to the article and at a first glance couldn't find any information about the author Gotthard Booth on the internet.

    One article by one author to me does not seem that significant.
