the about blurb https://principia-scientific.com/principia-scientific-international-psi/ The Essential Guide to Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Published on April 7, 2023 Written by David Charbonneau very long and largely from a US angle but makes a few UK references, although no mention of the NICE guidelines. this bit huh? https://principia-scientific.com/the-essential-guide-to-chronic-fatigue-syndrome/ not recommended. too much to go thro but re exercise: The link takes you to A Study of Post-exercise Fatigue in Patients with ME and CFS https://www.mayo.edu/research/clinical-trials/cls-20535403 lead researcher is https://www.mayo.edu/research/faculty/wheatley-guy-courtney-m-ph-d/bio-20150601 I haven't searched for any more info on this trial (that seems to have stopped recruiting?).
I can’t help feeling that the blurb doth protest too much. Surely it’s overkill to invoke Popper, Newton and Moore?
The whole things seems a bit weird and dodgy. Goodness might be hard to define, but it doesn't mean that we shouldn't try. Pursuit of truth is definitely not the only goal; censure and restriction are necessary sometimes. There are lots and lots of experiments that should never be done.
I haven't checked everyone but a lot of the listed people seem to be strongly supporting the idea that global warming has nothing to do with the greenhouse effect. And the whole thing really reads like an advertisement for them "debunking" the theory.
Scanning through the first one I recognised the name of was Piers Corbyn: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piers_Corbyn I hesitate to make assumptions based on one individual member of course, and only really know that from certain recent 'campaigns' The name of the organisation itself rings a bell with me, maybe it is from way back when and don't really know what for, I mean if I stumble over it then I'll have the aha moment but ..
I started reading a few of the biographies. It seems the common thread is climate change skeptics. I won't waste any more time on this.
