Thought she made some really good points. Except for the unproven mast cell and brain inflammation stuff at the end.
We need much better #ResearchDesign in the #ChronicPain space.
Especially as it relates to #chronic #pain, driven by #ChronicIllness.
Because current research is so disrespectful (“false” signals, pain “sensitization”, etc) and gaslighting to patients who are suffering deeply.

When researchers ignore/exclude the #knowledge and #LivedExperience of the most impacted and the sickest, they often miss the mark entirely.
When narratives around chronic pain center around “lifestyle choices” and brain retraining, we’re only adding to the patient blaming/stigma/minimization.
