Suddenly feeling very tired

It happened again. These days my health is better but it doesn't prevent these episodes.

This morning, I was away from home for an hour and then did some moderately intensive mental activity. At around 11:30 I crashed relatively quickly. I began feeling weak and exhausted, and had an urge to eat something and rest. The urge was too difficult to resist. While lying in bed I felt some sort of relief from lying flat and resting, but also began feeling cold (despite being under the blanket and wearing a woolen sweater). I remember thinking "I really need this rest right now" or something along similar. I fell asleep and woke up around 13:00 pm.

Afterwards I felt relatively well, in good mood, with enough energy to leave the house again, which I did without any apparent negative consequences.

I'm wondering what happened in the morning? I had a balanced breakfast, enough sleep the night before and didn't do anything extraordinary.

I get this after having a few nights of reduced REM sleep. You needed to sleep.
