Years ago, I was diagnosed with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease. I don't remember what the treatment was. IIRC, my doctor thought it was ME related.
 
This guy was diagnosed with NAFLD. Being a chemical process engineer he wanted to find a cause and solution as all doctors he consulted could offer nothing.

Reversed it, and is now very evangelical about low carb / keto.

He was appalled by the quality of some of the scientific papers en route.
