    The Nobel Assembly at Karolinska Institutet has today decided to award the 2024 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine jointly to Victor Ambros and Gary Ruvkun for the discovery of microRNA and its role in post-transcriptional gene regulation

    I’ve been catching up with Science in Action episodes. There’s some really interesting discussions on the Nobel prizes with various scientists in this one. Including with Victor Ambros and his wife and lab partner Rosalind “Candy” Lee (who notably isn’t mentioned in the nobel prize press release, despite also being co-author of one of the key papers). Well worth a listen
