I have made no such claim. I have ME so I have to set priorities, and BDD is not one of them. My submissions (at an earlier stage) were about the entries of ME and CFS, which included moving CFS to PVFS. What I've said is that I was pleased that they accepted this proposal, which narrows down the much-too-wide CFS to post-viral cases with neurological symptoms. I also proposed to move ME out of PVFS but no agreement emerged with regard to whereto.

You publicly opposed the insertion of exclusions for PVFS, (B)ME and CFS under BDD on Twitter.


In December 2019, I submitted a new proposal for exclusions [1] for the three 8E49 terms under 6C20 Bodily distress disorder, supported by a new rationale text.

In January 2020, the WHO approved and implemented that proposal [2].

Chronic fatigue syndrome had been indexed to G93.3 since the Alphabetical Index for ICD-10 was released, with an exclusion for G93.3 under R53 Malaise and fatigue; and an exclusion for G93.3 under F48.0 Neurasthenia and its inclusion term, Fatigue syndrome.


As ICD-11 had stood in 2010 to early 2013 (during the iCAT, Alpha draft and early Beta drafting stages), Chronic fatigue syndrome was being proposed to replace PVFS as ICD Concept Title term.

BME had been proposed as the Specified Inclusion Term under the new Concept Title, Chronic fatigue syndrome, with PVFS relocated under the list of 14 index terms.

So I am confused by your statement that you were pleased that your "submissions (at an earlier stage)" were accepted.
