Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) Priority Setting Partnership Survey

"What are we asking you to do?
This is your opportunity to directly influence future research into IBS, helping to ultimately shape the diagnosis, treatment and care of the condition within the UK.

The survey includes two sections, the first section collects some background information about you and the second section is for telling us what your questions are. You may have more than one question – we welcome up to four questions.

Please tell us what questions you would like to have answered by research to improve the lives of people living with IBS.

ANY question is a good question. Suggestions to think about include the treatment, diagnosis and care of IBS.

The deadline for responses is 30th April 2022."

Worth doing by those of us in the UK who have IBS in the UK, to try to influence research away from poor quality CBT trials. Think about it in advance so you are ready to submit up to 4 research topics, and add a further comment if you want to. My further comment was about the poor quality CBT trials and the need for long term follow up and objective outcome measures.

Probably worth mentioning IBS as a co-morbidity, not just a stand alone illness. IBS in ME/CFS may be different to IBS in an otherwise healthy person.
