Actually I wonder if the +ve is that you get to interact with someone - @Jonathan Edwards pointed out that carers/medical professionals could just incorporate that into their role/interaction with patients. Makes you wonder why they don't e.g. look at supporting people with occupational health assessment - support with living. Oh and the sort of specialist clinic Jonathan headed up i.e. which enabled the development of a new treatment (rituximab) for arthritis - we've gone backwards!
Great puns, everyone! I learned/played tennis as a kid and I reckon it's about the worst sport to try if you have anything resembling ME/CFS, particularly if orthostatic intolerance is a feature. There's loads of standing around, waiting while your blood happily sails down into your feet, endless bending down to pick up balls (or trying and failing the old racket against the shoe trick), loud whacking and exposure to weirdly competitive sorts. And pain likes to reverberate with every strike. Suggest strawberries and watching snippets of recorded Wimbledon on low volume instead.
First the loss to domestic violator Zverev on Court Philippe Chatrier and now this, it must have been a tough couple of days...
