UK:The Guardian:Unemployed could be given weight-loss jabs to get back to work, says Wes Streeting

a little off topic.

I was shocked a couple of years ago when I was weighed at the specialists clinic. I'm slim but have maintained the same weight since I was 18 years old (I'm 64 now). I was only 104lbs!! I was stunned and asked the nurse to reweigh me. That's 9lbs less than my usual weight which is a lot for me. The 'weight loss' stared a few years after menopause. Bone and muscle loss. I've been taking vitamin D and vitamin K2 for over a decade hoping this is helping prevent osteoporosis.

almost exactly the same thing happened to me. ie 2yrs ago down to 7 1/2 stone (even though its when I gave up smoking). I've been trying ever since to put weight on 'healthily' and am now 8st 3 ( just into the ok range for BMI), but I doubt its bone or muscle. I also have taken vitamin D for many years. My mother had osteoporosis.
