Zopiclone (zimovane/imovane)

I can't provide any personal experience, but the ME doctor I saw in the early 90's prescribed it for his ME patients. He didn't mention any adverse effects. I was given a script for it but decided to take very low dose trazodone instead which was very easy for me to stop when my natural sleep can back.

My sister who is a flight attendant takes Imovane and so do pilots when needed. She has not mentioned any side effects.

I was prescribed Zopiclone and used it for a short period very successfully without problems for a period before my ME/CFS.

When I began having serious sleep problems with my ME/CFS I tried it again, it was a very different experience and didn’t go well. I got some bad advice from a Dr and ended up on 7.5mg nightly for a period but with bad side effects. At the same time it was very difficult to stop so I then went through a difficult slow process of tapering down and swapping to a very low dose of Melatonin. It was a case of the side effects of taking it versus those of not for me.
