Open letter to TEDxBristol regarding Esther Crawley's presentation on 2 November 2017

I see by the link supplied by @Justy that Crawley is a consultant pediatrician. In the U.S., this would mean a medical degree. Does she have a medical degree? Not sure how to interpret the English degrees.

Open letter to TEDxBristol regarding Esther Crawley's presentation on 2 November 2017

Thank you, @Andy! And @Adam pwme ! Sometimes my idiocy astounds me, though I've been using computers since mid-1980s and younger family members consider me something of a geek.

Open letter to TEDxBristol regarding Esther Crawley's presentation on 2 November 2017

I recommend pausing playback periodically and hollering at the screen for as long as necessary, preferably with plenty of Saxon for good measure!

I would love to down-vote this talk if someone will be kind enough to tell me how to do it. I looked and couldn't see any link that would work. Real dunce here on social media and youtube!:arghh:

Jennifer Brea interviewed on Dr Oz Show December 18, 2017

Thanks so much, @TigerLilea! It looks as if there should be 5 segments to the Unrest discussion, but one of them plays the Ann Burrell segment. I wasn't able to get the full episode to play. :( They do have more up than they did yesterday, but it still seems incomplete to me. One segment...

Jennifer Brea interviewed on Dr Oz Show December 18, 2017

Bummer! That's what I found too. I could have watched it live, but I can barely tolerate Dr. Oz and wanted to be able to pause and holler at my TV when necessary.:arghh: So now I've missed out until who knows when.

    Insect bites? Rash? What? Help!

My first thought, @Sasha, was fungus because they sounded exactly like what my husband gets; but then I realized I'd better check my handy-dandy knitting tool, only to discover that there's a big difference between 2-3 cm and 2-3 mm. That pushed me in the direction of spider bites. I get spider...

Jennifer Brea interviewed on Dr Oz Show December 18, 2017

Don't get me started on Mehmet Oz! I think the guy's a charlatan. He promotes plenty of pseudoscience on his show. He couldn't bother to say the name of either ME or CFS. He just talked about "extreme exhaustion." To me, that's the equivalent of the woman with her head resting on the...

Blog: Clark Ellis, "Which heart rate monitor for ME/CFS?"

I gave my husband a Fitbit Charge HR two Christmases ago. It lasted about eight months before it went kablooey. I was not impressed as that cost about $10/month. Shortly after I got his, I got one for myself. The strap broke after about two days. I've asked for a HR monitor for Christmas...

New York Times: New Recognition for Chronic Fatigue

My husband fell last winter and got a concussion. It was fascinating to me that so many of his symptoms matched so many of mine, and I think he finally understood many of the issues I've had trouble explaining. Edited to add: @Wonko What a horrible story. So glad you were finally found ad...

Bedside chats with Ben: Prof Ronald W. Davis, PhD (YouTube + transcript)

i find it hard to take in information aurally. And I'm lucky if I can stick out a video for 5 minutes, let alone 10. A written transcript would be much more accessible to me.
