Nature: A reboot for chronic fatigue syndrome research

"Ok so the PACE trial was a big bag of shit and failed to prove efficacy for CBT an GET but other trials think CBT and GET are good and they used the same methods we did in PACE". Not even trying to defend PACE. Laughable response.

Well the actual truth is that they are desperate if the best they can come up with is that,"patients didn't like the conclusion".

IiME letter to Mark Baker (NICE) re: CBT & GET as recommended treatments

Maybe a technique would be to run a few workshops on random people to see which issues stick, like when comedians try out their jokes on small audiences before taking them on a big tour. Guidance for commissioners of services for people with medically unexplained symptoms - 2017

I think newly qualified psychology students will jump at the opportunity to work in one of these places especially with student loans to pay off. There's simply no need for them to employ OTs to run the clinics infact they will probably squeeze them out. They will use the philosophy of spending...

Guidance for commissioners of services for people with medically unexplained symptoms - 2017

Its also a bit laughable that they think people with "MUS" are taken seriously in hospital anyway to the extent that they would be bed blocking. Surely the next stage must be to identify all of the "medically unexplained" on a national register and block them from leaving their house incase...

Except officially no one is sick, so its a medically unexplained joke! Exactly what are they going to do, go around the A and E, yelling "bring out your unexplained", then dump them into a taxi with a bill?

Guidance for commissioners of services for people with medically unexplained symptoms - 2017

I really wonder how they explain the logic of all so called psychiatric conditions. Do they consider them to be medically explained or medically unexplained. If they are are all medically unexplained as seems to be the logic from their own position just what they hell do they get paid for...
