That is indeed shocking. We can do so much better than this.

Five patients made 8,303 emergency calls in a year - BBC News Website

That's pretty much every single day for each of the five people that emergency vehicles and personnel were allegedly deployed. I find this very difficult to believe. And if it were true, it would speak loudest of how the health care system is failing them, as Alvin pointed out. This sounds...

MUS: "Medicine has a sexism problem" by Maya Dusenbery

I've seen several CDC funding charts from the past, and they did indeed fund MPB more than "CFS". I dunno what the current numbers are ($0 I think now?) but there have been many years where this has been the case.

DWP seeking CCTV footage against disabled

Imagine if the gov't spent funds on a campaign encouraging friends and neighbours to look in and *help* the disabled in their community, rather than spy on them and turn them in on suspicion. So much crap thinking driving economic tabulation.

(Stanford, California, USA) Recruiting: Brain MRI and Immune Profiling CFS

Well, this is good then, bc perhaps they will inadvertently prove that migraines are not the cause of the lesions, but whatever causes the lesions causes migraine! I have always found it a bit suspect that they are presumed to be the cause.

(Stanford, California, USA) Recruiting: Brain MRI and Immune Profiling CFS

I applied but was not accepted bc of migraine (which is part of M.E., in my case. Hmph.) Is this a subgroup then? A bit odd bc I was part of the Montoya study in 2010.

    MUST Fight MUS

It is more than puzzling as to how any medical professional ever got on this bus. Where is the outrage? The bursting out into guffaws at the sheer absurdity? Edited to answer my own question: I suspect it has to do with the miseducation we are all subject to, when healthy--the subtle belief...

House built on old golf course - yes or no ?

I have been through these same thoughts as well. Housing is such a complex issue for us! One thing to consider about a ttwo-storied house is whether the ground level is configured in such a way as to accommodate a recliner chair or chaise lounge for napping or spates of downstairs sleeping...

Celebrities with M.E | WORLDS HOTTEST PEPPER video

Okay, yes, maybe we can just challenge celebrities to come out rather than anyone eating one of these things ever again. Healthy people should not do this to their bodies, much less PwME! I hate to think how far back this set him :(
