I wouldn’t read this, it has all the hallmarks of a self-important older academic dressing up his personal experience as somehow worthy of a published study. A category which already suffers from too much attention.

Not a scientist, but I get irrationally annoyed by “inflammation” being bandied around as the latest buzzword. It’s practically a red flag for someone about to offload an opinion based mainly on reading The Daily Mail health page (other peddlers of click bait unscientific rubbish are available)...
The first migraine I remember was about age 5, I thought my brain was breaking and something was seriously wrong, but I was alone in bed and unable to move to ask for help.
At 7 I was sent home from school with one, and was confused with everyone saying “it’s her first migraine” it certainly...
On another thread they said he’d popped up commenting on a Facebook post about the DecodeME preprint. I think he was doing the “nothing to see here” line.
But he didn’t say FND is ME, he said ME is like it’s a functional disorder, you see. He didn’t say which functional disorder.
Some of you are too tied to the idea of facts, and things “making sense” and Alan spouting BS! Classic Functional Making Sense Of Things Disorder.
