Haha. Funny, I liked it. :woot: But a scary true story behind this gallows humor.

Members of the European Parliament call for more funds for research into ME/CFS

Fantastic news, and brilliant job by those who have worked for this. What a superior voting result! :trophy@ Poor 4 people. I am surprised that there are 2 million people with ME/CFS in EU. It's about time that biomedical research against ME/CFS is taken seriously.

Probiotics for ME/CFS and IBS, Julin et al, Stora Sköndal (Sweden)

Interesting! I'm looking forward to read the result. My concern is that some bacteria produces histamine, and many ME/CFS patients are sensitive to histamine. I have tried multiple probiotics last years, also a supplement that was similar to GutMagnific, but I get bad reactions that lasts for...

Lightning Process study in Norway - Given Ethics Approval February 2022

I totally agree! There is no bias against the psychological perspective. I would for an example rather get cured from ME with LP or CBT than Cyclophosphamide. Whatever works, sign me up! But we know LP do not work and could harm!

Lightning Process study in Norway - Given Ethics Approval February 2022

The Norwegian ME Association have written a long letter to the Research Ethics Committee NTNU (The Norwegian University of Science and Technology) about ethics and methods in the LP-study. Original, Norwegian: Brev til NTNU Translate, English: Letter to NTNU

Lightning Process study in Norway - Given Ethics Approval February 2022

Only a suggestion, but is this letter something @trudeschei in the Norwegian ME Association can translate and publish on their website, from you? As she offered to @Jonathan Edwards on post #238 in this thread.

Lightning Process study in Norway - Given Ethics Approval February 2022

I am sorry to ask, and it is a rhetorical question: Is Dagbladet being paid to publish articles about LP these days? I have to ask, because their focus looks like targeted propaganda. As if "LP is good. If you think otherwise, you are a ME-activist". My ass. Objectivity is a nice sheep (sounds...

A nanoelectronics-blood-based diagnostic biomarker for ME/CFS (2019) Esfandyarpour, Davis et al

This is great news. Okay, it is still in a pilot phase, but: "With blood samples from 40 people — 20 with chronic fatigue syndrome and 20 without — the test yielded precise results, accurately flagging all chronic fatigue syndrome patients and none of the healthy individuals" The results could...

Closed Fred Friedberg (University of Stonybrook) Hydrogen Rich Water; Heart rate variability biofeedback in CFS

I'm looking forward to read this study when it's over. For now I'm very skeptical. "Oh, so you have ME? Here, drink some water and become much better or cure it." That has been my dream last 4 years!

Clinical psychologist Grete Lilledalen about ME and CBT/GET.

Yes, translate-error. The original text actually say: "They DON'T lack the motivation, but physical energy and....." As the motivation is good/not the problem :)

Mini-crashes in late afternoon / early evening?

Interesting. This happens to me every day after dinner, around 3/4pm to 7/8pm. If I don't take this afternoon(or after dinner)-rest serious and must do other things in this period, my fatigue gets stronger the upcoming 1-3 days. When I was healthy I didn't need any afternoon-rests. Now it...

    Low-dose Naltrexone articles and experiences

This is good news. Or is it? We hear a lot of LDN and ME/CFS through articles and case reports. How promising the meds is, and about it's benefits. But we need a big clinical trial on LDN! To proof it. If not, these articles gives no new info. As any other articles about probable meds who can...

    L-carnitine, tryptophane and d-ribose

That's how it is :) Maybe your body respond differently/more then I or anyone else here. I haven't known any side effects, even though I am very sensitive to new things.

    L-carnitine, tryptophane and d-ribose

Yes. But I haven't been good enough to regularize myself. As you know, when you feel better and have more energy, you automatically do more. You just don't want to lay in the sofa when you feel more energy. But maybe that's what you should do: act like "normal", as if you are having a normal...

    L-carnitine, tryptophane and d-ribose

I have tried L-Carnitine for some time. I haven't had much effect, but I maybe spotted a little more energy. My observation is that this energy is false, and gots PEM after using this energy. That being said, maybe my dosage was too low. 500mg. As I am sensitive to meds and drugs, I have to be...
