There is a well run ME group in Oxford called OMEGA. I spoke to a couple of committee members. They'd love to host a talk by you @dave30th taking on Michael Sharpe
Maybe on one of your future trips to the UK.
They would make sure you are very well looked after. :)
Through my local library I have access to New Scientists.

*Given the amount of coverage the story got, clearly the Science Media Centre (SMC) did quite a briefing job on journalists. A large number of them took the bait
*Trudie Chalder amongst others gave a talk on the paper at the SMC today...

@Andy would you be able to make a couple of suggestions to Karl?
1 is it possible to film the event? More people will be able to see the talks.
2 is it possible for Karl (or someone from his lab) to write an update on his work for S4ME?
Thanks
Estherbot
I'll get on the case, Robert Buckland is my local MP.
I've met him & chatted about ME, Suramin & autism.
Update: don't expect anything profound in return. As Solicitor General, his job to write (& then discard) Brexit legislation.
I wonder what Michael Sharpe's colleagues really think of him?
Most work places have someone who thinks they are incredibly popular but really most people in private can't stand them.
