When I look back at my early years of ME when I didn't know it was ME, I am often puzzled at how I managed to work full time. I knew something was wrong with me, the unusual exhaustion, feeling fluish, I could no longer study because it was taking longer to absorb information and I'd wake up the...
Agree with this @Mithriel
I never took part in this survey and wish I had. I had no adverse reactions to all 3 vaccines apart from the usual response of symptoms which were temporary and I was back to normal within a week at max.
Sorry your going through this @rvallee I hope this doesn't go on too long for you.
I've experienced different types of this and only since I've had ME. I am very protective of my head to turn it slowly, not tilt it back too far and wary of getting any bumps to my head.
The last severe type of...
I do wonder how my immune system is going to react when I do eventually get Covid, it is going to be hard to avoid especially living so close to other tenants.
I hope the Covid vaccine works for me like my childhood vaccines for measles, mumps and chickenpox, others. I can't remember ever being...
No expert on this, but I can't see how transplants are going to fix anything unless it is a localized problem where the homeostasis is topical and not a deeper change where processes are shunting a different composition internally through the tissues to the microbiome. The latter would just keep...
I'm a big milk drinker and can get through 6 liters, possibly 7 on my own a week. I've only had one very bad bout of acid reflux/stomach and that was at the time of my very severe ME onset.
The last 5 years or so I have been having a tiny bit of baking soda (less than a quarter tsp) in just...
@Daisybell I can't remember how long it was after my booster but I also felt a hard sore lump under my arm. I vaguely think the other arm was affected also but I really felt the lump under the shot arm. It's weird because I remember getting a fright when I felt it but I brushed it aside at the...
@Jaybee00 I was the same as this in my first 6 years. I didn't know I had ME and so was still trying to keep a full time job down but began to spiral downwards fast in the 5th and 6th year toward very severe ME with a very bad flu onset.
Have you incorporated a resting routine at this point to...
Update.
Now just over 48 hours since my Pfizer booster. I must say that my arm has been a lot sorer than the previous two Pfizer doses. I even had some pain in my lower arm down by the wrist. Quite uncomfortable - I even wondered if it was a pending heart attack symptom. Arm not as sore today...
I'm really not the person to be discussing the science side of ME but haven't studies shown that we have abnormal amount of cytokines especially at the severer levels of ME? What life threatening damage can they cause at the extreme? Causing secondary life threatening situations as a result of...
Important subject that needs more investigation. At my very severe ME onset and in those years it felt life threatening at times, with secondary complications due to the severity level of the ME.
Good arrangement at the pharmacy vaccination centre this morning. Amazing how they fit 18 chairs in what I always thought a fairly small pharmacy. It seemed spacious and not uncomfortable.
Was 10th in line for the Pfizer booster. Got there at 9.a.m and boosted at 9.15.a.m. My arm felt sore...
I'm interested to know how your ME has progressed in severity levels over all the years you have been sick.
For easier reading can you write first the amount of years sick with ME, how long each stage and severity level. Thanks.
For me:
26 years sick.
Progression:
Mild with severe cognitive...
I'm having the Pfizer booster shot on Wednesday 5th January. Thought I would have to book but the Pharmacy said I could just walk in. So I will try to be there when they open at 9.am.
Hope all goes well.
I had heard that it is better to wait for six months for a better response.
But if we get a community outbreak of Omicron I think I will be wishing I had the booster, so I most likely will have it in Jan. I should be following/reading the booster science more than I am at the moment.
@Mij Our government (NZ) has now reduced the time from 6 months to 4 for our boosters which means I can get mine after the 1st Jan.
Does anyone know whether we get a 4th booster or is it too early yet. I guess the vaccine companies will be making better vaccines over the next 4-5 months. I want...
I had a slight numb feeling in my lips for a hour or two after my 2nd dose Pfizer. I forgot to mention it in my previous post because it was so vague and fleeting, but obviously it must have been a reaction in that I had noticed something, even though low level.
I woke up from a horrible dream this morning. I was given up to 3-5 COVID booster shots into my knee. The pain!
I'm not due for the real thing until Feb, I hope I can get it sooner.
